Nicolas Maigret experiments the techniques of our time and their possibilities to auto-generate aesthetic forms, sound or visual languages and specific behaviors. Each of his pieces are as well a micro-laboratory as a point of view on the technological tool and its influence on our way of thinking and of creating. Starting from the fact that any creation requires a tool and is influenced by this tool, Nicolas Maigret presents us situations where the technological tool succeeds in generating its own forms. The generated forms become then an expression of the structural, formal and functional characteristics of this tool, and in a sense, an expression of the time which has the usage of this tool.
