California-based CCM group News At Eleven first met at the University of Southern California where the members played together during Catholic Mass. Their debut album, "Have You Not Heard?", was released in 2000. It featured the band's fresh take on a number of Christian favorites together with several original songs. Their sophomore effort, 2005's "Here Till The End," features the band's same trademark vocal blend and full harmonies, but offers up 13 all-original songs spread across a spectrum of styles ranging from rock to funk, and from Christian pop to Praise & Worship.
Send the word that the King is coming
Lift your voices up to the holy one
Open wide, let the portal gates be opened
Come and dwell with us, King of glory
CHORUS
I hear that the redeemer’s risen
They say that He died to save
But how can it be that He died and rose for me?
Has the Lord defeated the grave?
I hear that the redeemer’s risen
Up from the depths we called him
And the Lord reached out His hand
His love fell down like water
Blessed rain for a barren land
We will not hide Him from the children
The spirit of the Lord is on me
It whispers in my ear:
“Proclaim to all my people that the hour of the Lord is near”
The melody your spirit sings me
I hear it deep inside
