New Madrid Faults is a rock band from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, United States formed in 2007. The band consists of John Kimock (drums, keys), Matt Molchany (bass, drums, vocals), and Matt Juknevic (guitar, vocals).

New Madrid Faults was conceived by Kimock and Molchany in the winter of 2007 after the two met in California. After moving back to Pennsylvania, the pair began playing live and released the band's first demo in the spring of 2008 which featured a collaboration with area musician Matt Juknevic who would join the band later that year as a permanent third member. The demo landed them a spot on Ropeadope Records and Concerning Small Town Abberations, the band's debut album, was released on March 30, 2009.

All three members of New Madrid Faults are musicians since birth. Matt Molchany was born on the east coast, moved to Los Angeles in his early 20's, and became a fixture in the underground scene, producing for bands like The Power Chords (Indie Pop), Tyranis (Psychedelic-Metal), and The Fresas (Power Pop). He also had his own band gertie fox which completed 6 national tours playing with bands like The Hugs, Rilo Kiley, Little Brazil, and others.

John Kimock, a self-taught musician, was raised around a vast array of music. At a young age, he participated in ceremonial drumming with the Pomo Indians as well as Tuvan throat singers. He played some of his first concerts with his father in Zero. He has toured internationally with his father and other acts. In 2007, he recorded Kind Killers Depiction co-written by Angelo Miraglia.

Matt Juknevic was born into a family of musicians. He is a multi-instrumentalist and experimentalist. He founded The Insidious Rays, a surf rock band from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania which he has toured with for the past 7 years. Matt has written for independent theater companies and his music has appeared in movies and T.V. shows in Greece as well as a documentary on the North East Kingdom Music Festival. They are influenced by friends and lovers.
