Neil Ardley, Ian Carr, and Don Rendell recorded the classic British Jazz album Greek Variations in 1970. Ardley wrote the title piece (six variations on a Greek folk tune), which takes up side one of the original LP; side two contained seven pieces, three by Carr and four by Rendell.
