Take juke, future garage, ambience, and the vocal clips someone like Bullion might drop, throw it in a blender, add a dash of vodka, a handful of rain, and you get Myown. It’s juke, but it’s not ghetto; it’s spacey, but it’s no lazers-shooting-everywhere. And it’s dusty, crunchy, hazy, whatever, like everything post Untrue is these days…but it’s not lonely music. It’s not depressing, nor is it necessarily pensive electronica. It’s moon music; tunes humans will play at an anniversary party a few years after we’ve finally left our crippled planet behind for greyer pastures.
