Mitch Watkins is a jazz guitarist of the "bebop" style, influenced by a diverse cross-section of rock, jazz, fusion, and other genres. He is based in Austin, Texas, and has five CD recordings under his own name:

* "Underneath it All" (Enja-1989),

* "Curves" (Enja-1990),

* "Strings with Wings" (Enja-1992),

* "Humhead" (Dos-1995)

* "In the Time of Long Shadows" (Viewpoint -2006).

He has coproduced a CD with Bob Schneider:

"Underneath the Onion Trees" (Shockorama-2000)

Artists Mitch Watkins has played and recorded with include, Leonard Cohen, Joe Ely, Jennifer Warnes, K.T. Oslin, Bennie Wallace, Jack Walrath, Barbara Dennerlein, Friedrich Gulda, Lyle Lovett, Jerry Jeff Walker, mandolinist Paul Glasse and bassist John Fremgen.
