Minutia was created in the suburbs of Philadelphia in late 2009 by guitarist Jeff Braytenbah, drummer Tom Cullen, and vocalist Goho as the antithesis of clichés found across the wide swath of metal subgenres in existence today. The trio eventually brought bassist Bryan Gulla into the fold and began crafting songs that lack many of the pretensions and recycled ideas found in most current metal music. Their sound is stripped down, yet refined. It is traditional and catchy, but also experimental. It is as simple as it is intelligent.
