Gai Toms, born Gareth J Thomas in Bangor, Wales, 1976, is a Welsh singer songwriter and performer.

Between 1997 an 2007 Gai Toms wrote and performed using the pseudonym Mim Twm Llai. Gai's father was known as Mim Twm, a local variant of Meurig Thomas. A neighbour started calling Gai, Mim Twm Llai (Smaller Mim Twm).
