Melora Creager is the founder, lead singer, and first cello in Rasputina. She is a Kansas native, moved to New York City in the 1980's to attend art school, and is the mother of two lovely daughters. She has played cello since the age of nine. Her solo CD, Perplexions, was released in December 2006.

On December 29th, 2008, Melora a la Basilica came out - recorded live, it is a limited edition CD with covers and old favorites Rasputina songs.
