Austin's Magic Surprise began with Josh Parks in his electronic bedroom. Chico Jones, Grant Barger and Carter York brought the instrumentation that defines their sound today.

Their rapidly growing fan base describes their sound with references to Hall and Oates, Prince, Marvin Gaye and Steely Dan.
