Born on the twin island republic of Trinidad & Tobago in the year 1955, Luke began his musical journey at the age of five by studying the piano under the tutelage of Ms. Millicent Roberts which he did for seven years.

At the age of fifteen he began studying Afro-Caribbean drumming under the guidance of Mr. Lord of the St. James Drummers. At the age of sixteen he left for Canada and began playing th...e bass at age twenty after being influenced by his good friend Bunny Bynoe to do so. He played with the band Bunny & Friends for a year or so before the band broke up because all of their instruments were stolen. This bad did pioneering work in opening up the Harbourfront area in Toronto as an entertainment center. He tried with one more band before deciding that he would only play with friends. At the age of thirty or so during a split with his wife Rosetta, he picked up the guitar.

In the year 1989 he began his foray into the world of calypso In 1993 he became the first artist to produce a full length calypso album in Canada, his seminal work OPUS I. He has gone on to produce twelve other albums and one DVD of video work. His DVD The Complete Video Collection still stands alone as the only original production of music videos from a single calypso artist

Outside of his musical accomplishments, Luke a graduate of Seneca College of Applied Arts & Technology in Toronto has worked in the feature film and the broadcast television industries. Despite his many accomplishments, Like is proudest of his son 12Keyz who has gone on to be a producer residing in New York city. Luke now resides back in Trinidad.
