Biography
Lisa Hogan is a Singer, Songwriter and Composer who moves comfortably between classical, jazz and pop. Her first independent CD, “The Other Way,” was released in 2001 to exemplary reviews. The self written, produced and performed record was named in the Top Ten Best Indies for 2001, by the Michael Anthony Show who described her work as “a fabulous effort and recommended listening on a sunny day.” Amazon.com describes her as a “beautiful, intriguing, and evocative artist who follows a different muse and continuously strives to look the other way”. Hogan is also featured on two other independent CD’s, “The East Side of Fascination,” released in 2002 featuring top singer/songwriters in the New York City area, and “The Best of Qopel Records” released in 2003. Hogan can be found all over the web on music sites, and the infamous Youtube. Most recently she was selected to appear in Donald Trump's "Celebrity Apprentice" as a team member and jingle singer. She sang for the team of Brett Michaels, Sharon Osborne and Maria Kallenas. This 2-hour show will air in March 2010. She has also been featured on Time Warner Cable’s GNYCTV live.

Hogan has licensed material for Nickolodian, and currently has co-written a video with the songwriter Charlie Demos, running on LOGO's network and website. The video "Insane" has been selected as one of the top 10 for 2009. As a vocalist, she works as a jazz singer, performing in New York City and the Tri-State area. She has performed in theatrical and classical venues including Doug Katsaro’s Orphan Train, Lincoln Center Merkin Hall, and the Marin Opera Company. In 2006 Lisa received an MA in Composition at the Aaron Copland School of Music/Queens College. Her work has been performed by the Second Instrumental Unit, the International Contemporary Ensemble and reviewed in the New York Times. Her compositions have also been performed at The New England Conservatory of Music. Currently, she is co-writing and producing the artist Charlie Demos of Soulful Boi Music. She is an Adjunct Professor at the City University of New York and Montclair State University and also maintains a busy vocal practice in New York City.
