The second single, "Saturday Night Beneath the Plastic Palm Trees", was released in 1979 through Chrysalis Records and became a surprise hit. It reached #53 in the charts and earned the band a spot on 'Top Of The Pops'. The group also won the Sun Newspaper & Radio 1 Band of Hope & Glory Contest. Their third single, "I'm Hanging Around", was released by the same label in the same year and was a minor hit as well. Later success eluded the group until it evolved into Modern Romance.
