Biography
From upstairs you can hear two dog fighting guitars, feel floor shaking bass and see the shelves shiver with each metronomic beat complimented with three distinct voices almost lost somewhere between the amps and the floor boards, but that is from upstairs.
Read More...Underground, you'll see a precise, focused, well-determined, "all in good fun" American Rock and Roll band. These Jersey boys haven't fallen far from the well-celebrated New Brunswick family tree of musicians and have continued their growth after four east coast and midwest tours, two frontman changes, and their third release. LET ME RUN is a self-reliant, no bullshit, plug in and play, fun, hit-you-smack-in-the-face kind of band.
"Fall In" wastes no time out the gate with rolling drums and ear-bleeding guitars ascending into gang vocals and into one of the catchiest guitar riffs you've heard in a long time, complimented with a melodic call to arms/warning of spiritual war with lines like "Dream, Sinner, dream." CSJ II suggests a throwback to their previous release, "Broken Strings", but hands you a summer-night sounding intro with clever verses which make good use of all three singers expressing feelings on mortality, the time they have left and asking "when I'm ten feet down will you be found?" Burnt bridges, waiting on apologies, sweeping solos and sweet guitar swells make up the "So paint me indifferent" attitude of "Broken Brother" which is juxtaposed by "Fix It" which is a more tender, uplifting tune which still retains its edge and a full raw sound. The Motorhead-speed "Grabber" picks right back up with gang-vocal choruses demanding answers, asking personal questions, telling us to "stay with me 'til we all come down from here" and promising we won't be "dead and hollow" all intertwined with ripping guitars and maniacal drumming. LET ME RUN finishes off the EP with "Ruse" and its great dual guitars and its dangerously (almost too) catchy chorus, which has this tricky way of making you leave the disc in the CD player for yet another go around.
LET ME RUN is Corey Perez, Rocky Catanese, Louis Barbiere, Trevor Reddell
