Lata Gouveia is a singer-songwriter from London who is strongly connected to the music scene in Oklahoma and Texas. Taking obvious inspiration from the likes of JJ cale and Bob Dylan, Lata has played and recorded with some of his heroes from the Red Dirt Music scene, including Rocky Frisco (JJ Cale band), Steve Pryor, Dustin Pittsley, Jared Tyler, Jesse Aycock, Tom Skinner and many more. Over the course of 2009, Lata has also completed a film about Red Dirt Music called "Woody's Children: A journey to the heart of red dirt" directed by Matthew Lochman.
