Biography

Kill the Vultures don't just make hip-hop. They make junk hop: insulated, spare and stripped down sounds from the rust belt. Willfully restrained, raw and uncooked, Kill the Vultures is a masterful exercise in excision and reduction. Shedding the skin of their previous outing as Oddjobs, MCs Advizer (Adam Waytz), Crescent Moon (Alexei Casselle) and Nomi (Mario De Mira) push hip-hop in a new direction through the tunnel vision and bare-bones production of Anatomy (Stephen Lewis). Re-established in their original Twin Cities Minnesota base, where Oddjobs formed in 1996, Kill The Vultures marks a new musical direction for the quartet presenting organic barebones pulp production provided by Anatomy, darkly comic lyrics from Nomi, Crescent Moon, and Advizer, and an overall urban noir sensibility.
