Katie’s voice packs a punch but her melodies retain a lyrical sweetness mixed with a little rock, folk and storytelling country.

Katie’s always taken the road less traveled. “The stories are just better that way.” A singer/songwriter growing up in El Reno, Oklahoma, Katie couldn’t wait to get out of her small-town life and head for the big city. She was ready to leave her footprint somewhere in this world. She started writing songs at an early age, and took piano and voice lessons growing up—but her world changed when she picked up a guitar. “It’s getting better and better. The more I write, the more I discover, the more I love and long to inspire and entertain others. It’s just fun.” Katie says she didn’t really appreciate or understand where she came from until she left. “I’ve been trying to get back ever since. A lot of my songs are about that, and what’s happened and how I’m feeling along the way.” Katie has never taken herself too seriously. She says laughing at yourself is the only way to make it through life, “it’s much easier that way.”
