Biography

The Kasenetz-Katz Super Circus (or Kasenetz-Katz Singing Orchestral Circus, among other names) was a New York, NY-based bubblegum "supergroup" created in the mid-1960's by record producers Jerry Kasenetz and Jeff Katz. The members of the band were Kasenetz and Katz accompanied by various Super K Production groups. The production duo defined the sound and spirit of the bubblegum era, helming quintessential if interchangeable records, including the Ohio Express, the 1910 Fruitgum Company, Crazy Elephant, and numerous others. The duo were responsible for such hits as "Yummy, Yummy, Yummy", "Gimme Gimme Good Lovin", and "Little Bit o'Soul". Their work primarily appeared on LESLIE and BUDDHA RECORDS.
