James Samuel "Jimmy Jam" Harris III (born 6 June 1959 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA) is a Grammy Award winning American songwriter / producer in R&B and pop-music and part of the record production team: Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. They have enjoyed great success since the 1980s with various artists, most notably Janet Jackson.
