Jim Ankan Deka (born 1 June 1980) is a music composer, arranger, documentary film maker, photographer and columnist based in Bangalore, India. He was born in Guwahati, Assam (India).

Jim has been composing Music for various Films, Music Albums, Jingles, Video Games, Documentaries and TV Series in an array of languages including Assamese, Hindi, English, Kannada, Nagamese and Mizo. He has had a stint with "Goalporia Folk Songs" as well.
In 2007 he single-handedly pioneered the ace Music Institute Eastern Fare Music Foundation. He is the first Assamese to ever commence and manage a full-fledged music institute and studio in Bangalore.
He is also the Editor-in-Chief of EF News International, an e-zine.
