Jared Van Fleet is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from Austin, TX. He began his career as a member of Voxtrot, performing as a keyboardist and guitarist, and writing orchestral arrangements for the group's records. In early 2007, Van Fleet released the six-song Falls EP, under the name Sparrow House. Although it was met with critical acclaim from indie publications such as Pitchfork and Gorilla Vs. Bear, Van Fleet never toured as Sparrow House, performing at only a few concerts, with artists such as Beirut, Jose Gonzalez, and St. Vincent.
