Imaginistic was an Australian rock band from Brisbane Queensland, formed in 2005 by bassist Michael Hilly, drummer Gareth Reeve, guitarist Dan Wolter and guitarist/vocalist Andrew Smith. After Dan departed to raise a family, guitarist Luke Hodgson was recruited to fulfil lead duties. Described by some as "what Tool would sound like if they didn't have such a chip on their shoulder". Their music spanned a number of genres from alternative rock, heavy metal, funk, progressive rock, hip hop, punk, noise, jazz, latin, avant-garde, and pop.
