The Imagineers are a hip hop group from the seaside town of Brighton made up of emcees Hinesy Hines, Enlish, Dr Syntax & (occasionally) Clev Cleverly and DJ Manipulate. Only dropping a few tracks - some you might only find on Brighton Hip Hop compilations and others hidden away somewhere if you're lucky but each member has established an amazing reputation in UK Hip Hop as well as a successful solo career.

Hinesy Hines - Born in York, Tom Hines has built up a huge reputation which hasn't been from putting out releases - in fact, he hardly records tunes at all. Hinesy has been the host of the longest running monthly open mic/decks night (11 years) 'Slip Jam: B' for years now and isn't hesitant to drop a freestyle anywhere, any time, any place. Tom Hines also leads rap workshops for youths in Brighton and compares many Brighton hip hop events.

Enlish AKA Big Dave - Born in Falmouth in Cornwall, Dave has dropped 3 'So Massive Mixtapes' and has popped up on many guest spots over the years. He is finally dropping his long awaited debut album 'Cold Lazarus' (Produced entirely by Ido) this year (hopefully) as well as his 2nd album 'Rap Ain't Real, My Life Is Real'. Enlish has also taught at many rap workshops in Brighton.

Dr Syntax - Born in Oxfordshire, Dr Syntax has gone on to establish a very successful rap career with Imagineers, The Menagerie, Boiler Room Collective and in his very own solo projects. His two releases 'Off The Radar Vol. 1' EP & 'Self Taught' (his debut album) were very well received, with unique style, witty social commentary and interesting concepts, Syntax had definitely brought something new to the table of UK hip hop. He currently tours with Heavyweight Newcastle emcee and E.O.W. Champion Stig of the Dump and will be dropping a fair few releases soon - 'Off The Radar Vol. 2', 'Benny Huge EP' and a mixtape of old and new tracks with Stig.

Clev Cleverly - Clev has appeared on only a few Imagineers tracks and you'd be lucky to find one with his name on it. Clev currently tours with his guitar and sombrero as 'Bloody L Mariachi' and has also managed to establish a renowned solo career (as well as raising a family).

DJ Manipulate - Born in London, part of the 'Grandeurs of Delusion' crew and the mad Brighton hip hop DJ group 'Surgical Cuts'. Manipulate has cut and chopped tracks to pieces for many different emcees. He currently tours with Stig & Syntax and is a prominent member of the team behind Nauz Corps records.
