You look away, you're speaking with your back turned
Summer's gone and it left me with a sunburn
Whatever happened to our afternoons?
Let's just assume that you lost me like a left turn
I spent my childhood looking at the stage
It's about the nights we spent
locked up inside your room,
it's about the morning breaking
always just a bit too soon,
it's about the way you're scared
I don't look back 'cause I'm a forward thinker
Don't think I'm a wreck but you beg to differ
And you always smile when you tell me it's over
I lose track of time but this you already know
think out in rhyme but like sounds better when it flows
