Gwyn Ashton's Two-Man Blues Army is Australia's most explosive indie, alternative, psychedelic blues and rock power-duo. Featuring the award-winning guitarist Gwyn Ashton and powerhouse drummer "Killer" Kev Hickman, this is alt. blues shaped by the raw passion and commitment of the late Hound Dog Taylor and infused by the adventurous spirit of The White Stripes. These guys are Lo-Fi, analogue, wild and dangerous.

Following an acclaimed performance at the prestigious Popkomm ’08 in Berlin which was televised across Europe and an appearance at Music Live ‘08 with renowned Drummer Dave Small at the Birmingham NEC, Gwyn Ashton has recorded his explosive new album, Two-Man Blues Army also featuring Dave Small on Drums and percussion.

Infused with strong songs, powerful vocals and his trademark fiery guitar playing Gwyn has never been in better form. The Ashton and Hickman guitar/drum power-duo crash their way into the alt. music scene, breaking down the boundaries between blues and indie rock, finding an equilibrium somewhere this side of Seasick Steve and Jimi Hendrix.

His compelling hook-laden songs and incendiary playing have already crossed over to the kind of youthful European market who might not previously have been interested in a guitar-led format. Two-Man Blues Army is still the blues, but not as you may know it.

Ashton’s pedigree is assured on the back of world tours with BB King, Buddy Guy, Mick Taylor, Peter Green, Canned Heat and Johnny Winter, while such rock heavy weights as Deep Purple's Don Airey, along with Chris Glen and Ted McKenna, ex Sensational Alex Harvey Band, MSG, Gary Moore and Rory Gallagher, appeared on his last chart-topping CD, ‘Prohibition’.
