G-LOCK was formed in 1993 as a 2-member act producing tracks on 4 channels on a Commodore-Amiga 1200. Influenced by artists like Prodigy, SL2 and CJ Bolland, they put out a first album "Mastering the System (1996)" which was a compilation of rave, drum and bass and breakbeat tunes.

But the band needed more progress and innovation was their priority. Therefore the second album "Noizebreaker (1997)" had a whole different approach. Hard slow aggressive beats combined with club-techno-style tracks made them more underground, but still hard to categorize.
Both albums were hardly promoted due to other interests by the band-members.
Six years later main-writer Lorenzo decided to put out 2 compilations of the bands history. "G-LOCK takes 93-97" is a best of selection including some re-recorded and unreleased tunes and "The Unenlightened State", a more dark selection of remixed breakin' material...
FYI: the 'Fes Up' album is produced by another G-LOCK artist, I just claimed this space :P
