Friends with Cameras began in Chicago, US from the ashes of a fallen ska band, one which included drummer Tim Bingham and bassist Rosario Edwards. The band was entitled Phoenix Larry, and in short it went nowhere. From there Tim and Rosario found Hannah Kucharzak (vocals/keyboards). She was devastated from the breakup of her previous band—the grunge-punk Ditching Reyna—and was looking for a place to go.
