Free Faces was an alternative rock band from Slovakia formed in 1998. Their style was later dubbed as "space rock" by former radio Ragtime announcer DJ Galager. The core of the group included members of the already established trio of session musicians Seban Rozsa Buntaj, who also earlier performed several instrumental compositions of many Free Faces songs such as Up & Down. Perhaps thanks to the classical musical training of its members, Free Faces remain one of the best Slovak alternative-pop bands since the 1990s. Their music continued in the best heritage of Slovak avant-garde rock, especially Dežo Ursiny. Due to disputes between the members, the group announced and made its breakup in 2000, although their latest double album La Belle Epoque was released in 2001. Its members are currently working on their own projects: Andrej Šeban is devoted to solo path, Oskar Rózsa participates in many projects of other musicians and Maroš Hečko, together with Marcel Buntaj, among other projects, constitute a group of Home Made Mutant.
