"Eibol's got plenty to spare over 17 impressively consistent tracks. It doesn't hurt that he's a beast on the MPC, habitually coming hard with the drums and battering raw samples, akin to Blockhead in hip hop mode. His flow is relentless and brisk, broaching substance with resolve be it choosing art over commerce, asking questions or thinking twice. He also features his pops on the sax and rips an old homey for going NYPD blue, "making the party people run". Eibol should make the party people move, but if rhymery fails him he could always settle for dethroning DJ Shadow." - URB MagazineRead More...
Starting out as an MC, Producer / Mix Engineer to co-owning and running the independently minded Hip-Hop Label Fingerprint Records, this artist in a sense is what you can truly call a modern day renaissance man. Eibol (pronounced eyeball) Eibol has released his first solo album titled "KARMA KINGDOM" which is out now on FINGERPRINT RECORDS and REDEYE DISTRIBUTION. This project exemplifies his multi faceted talents, both as a writer and as a producer. With the very successful completion of a 40 city coast to coast "KARMA KINGDOM" promo tour and east coast dates on the 2005 Vans Warped Tour.
The name may not be new to your ears considering he has released numerous independent albums with his former group Hand Held Aspects and his one time collaboration with Losaka and Nobs for the Neanderthal Youth "super group." The Hand Held Aspects debut on Fingerprint Records in 2003 earned him a 12" single and a CD release entitled "From Point A to H" with fellow partners Losaka, Hippo and Stayinsane. Successful sales of both Vinyl single and CD release helped introduce Eibol as a serious MC and Producer. Following the 2003 release of "From Point A to H" was the spark starting combination of Eibol, Losaka and Nobs for the 2004 Neanderthal Youth "Unearthed the Early Days" CD release. The word quickly spread throughout the US, past Canadian borders and reached as far as Europe and Japan intriguing listeners to a sound UK's DJ MAGAZINE describes as "[punching] you along from its ace '60s opening into rolling vistas of thumping, fuzzed-up funk, breathtaking like the Beasties at their best." The positive response from listeners, radio stations and magazine reviews led to a sold out CD initiating a repress and a limited UK 7" pressing of 450 copies all selling out within a two day time frame!
Gearing up for a successful 2006, Eibol can only look towards his constant support with radio airplay at CMJ charted stations, magazine reviews in the US as well as overseas and an ever-growing number of fans, whether dedicated previous release holders or live show attendants. Possessing the ability to grab the crowd and make any performance big or small feel special, Eibol exhibits an energetic vibe that would compare to an early Busta Rhymes. Eibol has shared stages with the likes of Camp Lo, Immortal Technique, Sage Francis, People under the Stairs, Cannibal Ox, The Shapeshifters, Nobs and countless others. Eibol plans to follow up the end of the year with another coast to coast tour as well as make some noise in Europe early 2007.
