Derek Lotek uses a collection of vintage drum machines, synth boxes, circuit bent toys and guitar pedals to make lo-fi music varying from wistful cheesy instrumentals to hardcore noise. Drawing influence from years of club crawling, warehouse party promoting and djing, Derek's music tends to sound like a dj at work in a club complete with a healthy dose of room tone and other-dimensional inner ear noise mangling. His sets often include gabba, dub, casiocore, industrial noise, jungle, trance and techno mixed with pretty much anything else that makes for scary or witty juxtapositions.
