D'Kalimbo (formerly known as Capitan benji) was born in a town called Calabar, in Nigeria. He grew up there where he showed musical abilities at an early age. He was encouraged musically by his mother and from the age of 14, he was the church organist. He's played with various bands in Nigeria and for various artists. His musical ideas has made him one in a million. He came to Panama to join his better half and has been taking his musical career even to greater heights. By the end of 2006, he produced a christmas CD for his wife titled "Amana Mi." He has shown great abilities in writing songs and also producing. He is admired by all and his song style is well loved by the people. He merges Soca with native (a rythm style from his african tribe).He also plays reggae and generally tropical music.

D'Kalimbo (mejor conocido antes como Capitán Benji) nació en Calabar, Nigeria, donde creció. A una edad temprana empezó a mostrar grandes destrezas musicales. Su madre al ver su talento le alentó a seguir el camino musical y cuando el tenia 14 anos empezo a tocar el piano de la iglesia. Mas adelante toco para varias bandas musicales y artistas Nigerianos. Sus ideas musicales le han hecho muy especial "uno en un millón". En los anos siguientes, viaja a Panamá para unirse con su esposa, con la cual ha llevado su carrera musical a otros dimensiones al producir a finales del 2006, el cd musical titulado "Amana Mi". Capitán Benji,tiena gran destreza en la composición y producción de canciones. Se ha ganado la admiración de todos y su estilo musical diferente, tiene muy buena acogida. El hace una fusión de Soca con ritmos africanos nativos. Igualmente toca reggae y ritmos tropicales.
