David Tibet and Steven Stapleton have collaborated together for over 20 years, in their individual groups Current 93 and Nurse With Wound, but until 2001's Bright Yellow Moon, they had never officially released a joint album under their respective pseudonyms. Previous collaborations and experimentations together had been released under their 'proper' identities Steven Stapleton / David Tibet. Perhaps the use of their pseudonyms here, shows just how much they regard these albums as fully realised works.
