There are more artists with this name: 01. Crucifix was a classic American hardcore punk band from San Francisco who were active in the early '80s. Though graphically and lyrically they were similar to UK anarcho-punk bands of the time, they played fast, high-octane hardcore a la Reagan Youth, which many peace punk bands that followed would eventually cite as a major influence. Members Matt Borruso and Chris Douglas were later in New York band Loudspeaker and vocalist Sothira Pheng went on to form Proudflesh
