FLOOD IN THE DESERT

It seems there has been a flood of singer songwriters lately, though someone unique has splashed onto the scene with a fresh, sweet melancholy. Ciano Maés is writing songs that wistfully capture the human condition with heartfelt lyrics that hook-you-in to his memorable melodies.

As a child, Ciano taught himself to play multiple instruments, but loved playing the drums most. In his teens, Ciano would pursue his inner song that would eventually thrust him out from behind his drum set and into the spotlight as a singer songwriter.

At 18, Ciano moved to Los Angeles to attend the Musician’s Institute and quickly began playing regular gigs with fellow students. It was there that Ciano caught the attention of the music industry - creating a buzz with his unique blend of ‘soul-infused pop’.

Ciano’s deep longing to focus on his passion for writing meaningful songs, and not on the ‘spotlight’, drew him back home to Albuquerque, NM. It was there, in the high desert, that Ciano built a recording studio; a sanctuary of sorts, where he now dedicates his energies to creating and sharing his songs.
