There are two drummers with the name Chad Smith

Chad Smith plays the drums for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

He was born on Oct 25, 1961.

Chad joined Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1989, when the band needed a drummer. Many drummers tested, but only Chad would fit the band perfectly. Flea, the bassist, says Chad was the best and the loudest drummer he had ever seen.

Chad Smith is also the name of the former drummer of Anacrusis The two drummers are not the same person. Chad will not be part of the reunited line-up. Chad's replacement in Anacrusis is confirmed to be Mike Owen.
