The twee-pop band Casino Ashtrays originally comprised ex-Autocollants singer Laura Watling and songwriter Raoul De La Cruz, a former member of the Southern California bands Cha Cha Cha and Test Pilot as well as the proprietor of the cassette label Popgun. Casino Ashtrays debuted the lovely Bus to Vegas EP in 1998, issued in conjuction with the Twee Kitten label's CD Fun Club series.
