The quirky rock duo Call Florence Pow consists of singers / songwriters / multi-instrumentalists Brian Jacobs and David Tobias. Friends since the third grade, both boys shared a passion for the guitar. Tobias was taking classical guitar lessons, while Jacobs imitated the hair-metal bands of the late '80s. By fifth grade they were songwriting partners, and by the time they were 18, they released their self-titled debut record on the Spongebath label.
