Cálix is a brazilian band of progressive rock, formed in Minas Gerais. They began playing classics of Beatles, Jethro Tull, The Who and Pink Floyd. In April 2000 they launched their first album, Canções de Beurin, which gave Cálix the prize of best brazilian progressive band of the year. Their second album, A Roda, was launched in 2002, in a great show at the Palácio das Artes, Belo Horizonte, with the participation of a chamber orchestra.

In October of 2006, they had commemorated the ten years of history of the band, with the recorded of the DVD Cálix ao Vivo, in a big show in Palácio das Artes, with 8 inedit songs.

This DVD was released in june 0f 2007, with the name Ventos de Outono. The show was be relased also in CD.

The integrants are: Renato Savassi (vocals, flute, acoustic guitar and mandolin), Sânzio Brandão (electric and acoustic guitar), Marcelo Cioglia (bass and vocals), Rufino Silvério (keyboards and vocals) and André Godoy (Drums).
