They set to work with the release of "Airs and Graces" in November of 1998, and it brought the band numerous opportunities, such as opening slots for the likes of Samiam, No Means No, and The Weakerthans, substantial Canadian college and university radio play, and a chance to contribute music for the Canadian Hockey Documentary "Chasing The Dream".
In June of 1999, the band signed on with Triple Threat Records of Calgary, Alberta, and immediately went into Drozda Studios to begin recording their follow up record. The six song CD EP entitled "This Apparatus Must Be Earthed" was released later that year with Canada-wide distribution.
The CD displayed the raw emotional, melodic rock that Built in Shellbrook were known for, and showcased the band’s best material to date. Unfortunately their success was short lived, as the band broke up in 2000.
