Thundering, mostly instrumental, mid 90s band from Australia. Heavy basslines with heavier guitar melodies punctuated by vintage synth sounds and chanting, Budd was a unique band. With some occasional quieter tracks that borrowed from vintage surf sounds, Budd's real claim to fame was their heavy jams.

With a revolving line up and based in different cities at different times, the only constant was / is Jeremy "Budd", a respected sound engineer currently working in Brisbane. The group formed in Brisbane, Australia before relocating to Melbourne. Only sporadically performing, as of 2006, the band continues to exist. Despite some early support from glamour label, Fellaheen, most of Budd's career was independent.
