A Texas native, Bryan began his professional career as the opening act for guitarist Larry Carlton. A graduate of University of Southern California (BM, DMA), and University of Texas (MM), Bryan does session work in Los Angeles and Nashville, collaborates with dance troupes and spoken word artists, and is in demand as a film composer, producer, songwriter, and guitarist.

Bryan has performed with the Dixie Dreggs, Bonnie Raitt, Lisa Loeb, and jazz greats Larry Carlton, and Scott Henderson. In addition to ESPN, his music is currently featured on VH1, Lifetime Network, WB Network, the History Channel, and the Food Network.

Bryan has recently received critical acclaim for his songs by winning major awards in: Unisong International Songwriting Competition, Billboard World Songwriting Competition, MOVA international songwriting competition, Great American Songwriting Competition, Performing Songwriter Magazine and John Lennon Songwriting Competitions. He also scored the feature length film “Mushka Water” which won the Best Independent Film Award at the prestigious Hatch Festival in Bozeman, Montana.

Bryan’s bluegrass quartet – Honeywagon – has released 3 CDs on CMH records. Their 2nd release “Green Day, Blue Grass” spent over 80 weeks on the Billboard Bluegrass Top 15 Chart, has sold over 40,000 copies, and was number 6 on the Billboard Bluegrass sales charts for 2006.

Bryan is also a faculty member at Belmont University School of Music in Nashville, Tennessee where he teaches jazz harmony, composition, history of American song, and arranging.
