Formed in 1989 from the rag tag army of various Punk and Oi! bands, BOISTEROUS came into being as it was a better name than nobys other suggestion Siffy Piggy and the Sticklebricks Pricks. After recording the 4 track Boot Bairns demo gigs followed in places as varied as first schools to night clubs, pubs, clubs and backs of waggons in locations all round the North East of England, Scotland, London, High Wycombe and Belgium, mostly with fellow OI! bands and good mates Pressure 28 and Another Mans Poison, other bands played with included UK subs, Blank generation, Argy Bargy, Crashed out and Rampage. Around 30 odd gigs in total. Various line up changes affected the band over the years losing out on chances to play Germany, France and America although we did get various airplays on radio mainly foreign stations and some small exposure in the uk. Even an airing of Broon Ale Army on ITV north east news. After finishing the Skipraiders album things began to slow down as most of the lads were working awkward hours had children or had moved on. After various piss ups a few practices did take place but sadly did not bear fruit. So after a gap of many years the pieces began again to fit into place. And low and be fucked heres Arthur clutching excalibur and yet driving a Juggernaut laden with gifts for the re born kings: long gone are the tabs but the beer still there the cider the whiskey oh and the brandy on sunday before bed when i've got me slippers on. So forth i pissed off from the computer before i get knacked off that wife but under me breath and occasionly at gigs shouting OI OI HAVIN A LAUGH!!!!!!!!
