Black Svan were formed in the summer of 2009 by two local musicians Keith Caffrey and Jagger Murray, their aim was to form a band that plays the style of music that they love. Quickly after, Mark Duffy and Ian 'Angry Face' Manners joined the band. The band spent the whole summer writing music and songs for the debut EP. The band have been gigging solid since Jan 2010 and always leave the crowd shouting for more. Mark has since departed from the band and has been replaced by Scottie. Also joining them on second Guitar is Mo Clifford. The band is gelling well together and spirits are at an all time high. Their main influences are Metallica, Pearl Jam, Audioslave, Soundgarden, Megadeth, Guns n'Roses, Fozzy, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Alice in Chains, Alter Bridge, Tool, Stonesour, Q.O.T.S.A., To name a few.
