Bill Kelliher is the rhythm guitarist of the Atlanta heavy metal band Mastodon. Bill's uses 3 guitars in Mastodon: A Gibson Les Paul Custom in a Silverburst finish a Gibson Explorer in black, and a custom Yamaha SGB. Bill used Laney amplification at one time(specifically, the VH100R head)but now plays a Marshall JCM 800 single channel reissue , and has an Ibanez Tube King, a Boss TU-2 Tuner, and a MXR M-135 Smart Noise Gate in his effects chain. A Digitech Jamman Looper Pedal is used to trigger various samples that are separate from the guitar.
