Bill Isles of Duluth, Minnesota (USA) performed his first show of original songs in twenty-five years in February of 2000. Since that time, he has become one of the most well known singer/songwriters in the Minnesota acoustic scene and has been getting national and international attention.

Jack Sparks (Other Side of Country) wrote: “Bill Isles began the evening, and his funny, loose demeanor and seemingly easy picking of his guitar set everyone in a good mood. I was reminded of two live Townes Van Zandt CD's I have as I watched him. There's a rounded age to his voice, and a conviction in his words, that comes across almost immediately... ‘The Hole in Our Town’ is a brilliant piece of storytelling in song.”

In 2009, he teamed up with his wife as Bill & Kate Isles for the duet album "Matching Baggage".
