Bed On Bricks is one of Cape Town's hottest live music acts. Featuring some of the most popular and seasoned musicians in the country, Bed On Bricks entered the scene with a bang in May 2003.

The four piece sports Mike Hardy on lead vocals and saxophone. Mike has previously been leading Cape Town's Sons of Trout. He is an accomplished vocalist and voice artist and has an illuminating stage personality. Bed On Bricks is Mike's brainchild, as he brought the group together.

On bass guitar features Schalk van der Merwe from Stellenbosch. Schalk also plays for one of the top blues acts in the country, Delta Blue, and occasionally SA legends: Valiant Swart and Piet Botha. Schalk has been actively involved in the SA music scene for more than 10 years and is rated at the top of the log for his bass playing as well as his song writing abilities. Schalk provides the strong and funky basslines for Bed On Bricks.

Dave van der Linden plays the lead guitar. His unique style has earned him raving reviews from critics, even after being out of the music scene for about six years before joining Bed On Bricks. Dave started making waves with his first band, Shooting Corinne, in Cape Town in the late 90's. He plays daringly and produces a strong rock-energy on stage.

The band's tight rhythms come from highly acclaimed drummer Tim Rankin. Tim entered the music scene with SA export product, Dorp. Tim has since featured on various albums as a session drummer and has also played for SA legends Anton Goosen and Lesley Rae Dowling. Tim is known for his precision and ability to adapt to almost any style, as Bed On Bricks' music shows immense diversity.
