Barney Stinson is a fictional character created by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas for the CBS television series How I Met Your Mother, portrayed by Neil Patrick Harris .

But this is only the official version of Barney Stinson's existing, media want us to believe. To clarify the truth, here is the true story:

Barney Stinson was born in Awesome Town and lives in New York nowadays. Originally, Barney is not an artist, but works for a global financial firm. He spends his free time primarily on hooking up with smoking hot chicks and being awesome.

In his lifestyle he conforms with the Bro Code, a set of written rules for bros to follow, which was written by Barnabus Stinson, a contemporary of George Washington and Benjamin Franklin and relative of Barney. Barney published the Bro Code as tie-in novel and audiobook.

Additionally, he performed an awesome song named „Nothing suits me like a suit“, which is about his passion: wearing suits. Furthermore, some of his former employers created an awesome video resume to show everybody how awesome Barney is, including a great song about Barney’s awesomeness. Some people insist it is Barney Stinson singing this song, but this is rubbish, since that would be really lame.
