Bantu aka Brotherhood Alliance Navigating Towards Unity is a musical collective formed by Adé Bantu. He was born Adegoke Odukoya to a German mother and a Nigerian father in London, grew up in Nigeria and Germany. From the early beginnings of Hip Hop in Germany, to the influential Brothers Keepers project, to his album Fuji Satisfaction that earned him and his band two Kora Awards (the Pan African "Grammy") in 2005 as "Best West African Band" and "Best African Band", to various documentary film projects - Ade Bantu is always busy and ahead of his time.
He recently moved to Lagos where he recorded his latest album "No Man Stands Alone". As the album title implies this was not a self-centred solo project each track was performed by Ade Bantu and an equally fantastic feature artist. Amongst those featured are internationally renowned MOBO award winner Nneka, Ade Bantu’s brother & co-Bantu founder Abiodun, Ghana's finest contemporary artists: Wanlov the Kubolor (MOBO award nominee 2010) and several of Nigeria's greatest musicians including the 84 year old legend of Highlife music: Fatai Rolling Dollar.
