B.B. Connell was born on the Caribbean island of Barbados. He played in a number of local bands before going to Canada with the "Outfit." After touring Quebec for 2 years, he returned to Barbados, and shortly after was asked to join Rhapsody, a Barbadian band based in Germany. Rhapsody shared the stage with reggae greats like UB40, the Wailers,and Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, in addition to backing up Eek-a-Mouse and Lee "Scratch" Perry.
