Born, raised, schooled, and learned on the South Side of Chicago. Son of a middle-class family where music was always a staple. Adam grew a strong taste for the songs that his parents were listening to and they soon became what he was listening to. After meeting some boys in high school he formed a band (Situation Normal) and played mostly in the south-west suburbs of Chicago. Situation Normal played for four years releasing one EP independently before parting ways. After their break-up Adam continued to write, playing songs for friends and family, or anyone who would listen. After a while he began recording demos at home and inviting friends in to add whatever they could.

The demos were distributed on an "ask and you shall receive" policy. Burnt copies of songs were given to friends until early 2003.

Around this time, while out for an evening, the demos were played for Mike Corcoran who offered his services in making a record out of some of the songs. Production began for the upcoming debut solo release by Adam Fitz in March of 2003. Adam Fitz and the Team. The team consists of a pool of musicians, comrades, and other, that have been kind enough to share their time and talent with us.

Some members of the team include: Mike Corcoran, Eddie Dixon, Cody Geil, Jason DeRoach, Matt Marvic, Mike Aquino, Doug Corcoran, and Dave Holmes.

The songs range from manic hollering to sweet and down-home.

We do not ignore the sorrow, but sometimes we like to shake it.
